'Alone' is a hip hop music album talking about chaos and corruption in Egypt.
The artist wanted himself sitting in a gravelike hole and somebody not visible watching from above, so this was my interpretation. characters are live and the background is cg.
modeled in 3dsmax and zbrush, textured in photoshop and bodypaint,matched images to cg in photoshop and aftereffects, rendered in vray.
first i matched the camera to the photo, made the hole, and since its a still, i created a rough model for the character to recieve and cast light/shadow.
